What’s the group installation process?

It’s a simple 3-step process all completed online. For Voluntary or to offer Add-Ons, there is a one-page Payroll Deduction form. If the process is completed by the 15th, we’ll have member materials in-hand by the 1st.

Does freshbenies disqualify an HSA?

In March of 2020, the CARES Act clarified that a $0 visit fee telehealth service is valid alongside an HSA-qualified plan. Read more about this change here.

Do you have other services you can put in a membership?

While our modular approach already provides multiple options, we can customize a package or add a service to our platform for groups of 500+.

Who’s included in a membership?

A freshbenies membership includes an employee and all their IRS dependents (and all pets are included in The Pet Pack).

Does this come under Section 125 pre-tax rules?

No, because freshbenies is non-insurance. However, the cost is still a business expense if purchased for employees. Also, you don’t have to follow Section 125 non-discrimination rules, so freshbenies can be provided to all employees – part-timers, non-benefits eligible, contractors, etc.

How do members access their services?

How does the Advocacy service know my employee’s information?

Advocates are trained to ask the right questions of employees about their medical/dental/vision plans to get the info needed to help. You can also complete a simple profile outlining your benefit plans and provide your plan documents. This way, when an employee uses the service, the Advocate has all their information ahead of time.

Yes, employees have the option to request and download a doctor’s note after a visit.

How do I explain all the services to employees?

We have many options to help communicate freshbenies to employees. Showing a quick, fun video and including a simple one-page flyer in a benefits meeting is a great start. We follow up with a high-quality physical or virtual welcome packet for each employee. Our proprietary Member Engagement System kicks in with continued touchpoints throughout the year.

Does the price change whether I have a broker or not?

No, the prices are the same regardless.

Can I start using the services immediately?

Unfortunately, no. We need time to get your membership set up with our partner companies before you can start using the services (within 7 - 10 days). Once you receive your freshbenies welcome materials, you'll have full access to the benies!

Do I need a membership for everyone in my family?

No, a freshbenies membership includes you and all your IRS dependents (plus, all pets are included in The Pet Pack). The primary member will view, add and manage dependents from the freshbenies App or Member Portal - no need to add or set up family members for each service!

Dependents over 18 will create their own login and use freshbenies in their own app and portal.

How does this work with my health insurance?

freshbenies is a HUGE help for those with great insurance, some insurance or no insurance! For instance, you can't always get your primary care physician on the phone in 10 minutes at 2am to answer a question, get peace of mind or a much-needed medication. How many times can I use the Prescription, Dental, Vision, Chiropractic, Hearing Aid, Lab Tests, MRI & CT Scan, Medical Equipment, Diabetic Supply and Pet Care discounts?

As many times as you need! There’s no limit to the savings. AND, you can start using them as soon as you get your freshbenies member welcome info – there’s NO waiting.

How does this work with my FSA or HSA?

You can't pay for freshbenies with your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) money because freshbenies isn't insurance. BUT, a freshbenies membership helps keep more of your hard-earned money in the FSA/HSA account. How? Skipping a doctor visit by using the freshbenies 24/7 telehealth service, or emailing a specialist to get medical advice, or getting discounts on allowed prescription, dental, vision, chiropractic, hearing aid, lab tests, MRI & CT scan, medical equipment, and diabetic supply expenses. These non-insurance benefits save you real money.

How do the Prescription, Dental, Vision, Chiropractic, Hearing Aid, Lab Tests, MRI & CT Scan, Medical Equipment, and Diabetic Supply discounts work with my insurance?

These services can help if you have expenses that are only partially covered by your insurance or aren’t covered at all. You can’t use both, but sometimes your insurance will offer a better price, and sometimes the freshbenies discount will be lower. For example, you may have great dental and vision insurance, but you may have other needs that aren't covered - orthodontia, whitening, brand name frames, LASIK, any major work beyond your insurance max.

How do my dependents use freshbenies?

Minor Dependents (under 18) have access to services, including Telehealth, directly through your primary membership.

Due to medical privacy rules, Adult Dependents require a separate login to access freshbenies services. Once added, they'll get an email from us with a few quick instructions to create their own login. Everything else stays the same – still one membership for your family.

How do I find my Member ID?

If you need to look up your Member ID or other information, our AI Assistant Bonnie can help. Just click Chat in the lower right corner of your screen. If you need additional help, call freshbenies Member Services at 855.647.6762.

How do I login?

If this is your first time, you can activate by entering your member details here. Then just log in to your Member Portal or download our App to use your services. If you need help, call freshbenies Member Services at 855.647.6762.

How do I set up my Telehealth account?

It’s easy! Just log in to your Member Portal or App and click the Telehealth icon for specific instructions.

How do I add dependents?

Once logged into your Member Portal or App, tap or click your Profile, where you can add your spouse, minor, and adult dependents by entering a few quick details.

Newly added Minor Dependents will be processed (about an hour), then activated and can use the services. Newly added Adult Dependents will be processed (about an hour) and then will receive an email invite to activate their membership to use the services.

To add a non-spouse IRS dependent who is over 26, please call Member Services at 855.647.6762.

Do I need a membership for everyone in my family?

What is the difference between the "Telehealth" and "Doctors Online" services?

Telehealth lets members speak with a family physician by phone or video. Within a few minutes, members can talk to a doctor to get a diagnosis, treatment options and a prescription, if medically necessary. This service is for short-term, “acute care” needs like…

Your employer chose certain services they would provide or offer. Some employers don’t provide or offer all the services available from freshbenies. You can ask your employer to allow you to purchase additional services OR you can purchase an Individual membership here.
